Amaravati, the capital region of Andhra Pradesh, experienced significant setbacks during the last five years of the YSRCP’s rule.
Currently, Amaravati is undergoing a cleanup and beautification process. Garbage that had accumulated is being cleared, and areas where forests had been encroached upon are being restored. The spot where Prime Minister Modi had previously installed a foundation stone is also being cleaned.
Recently, Principal Secretary (CS) Nirab Kumar Prasad conducted an extensive tour of the capital region. He inspected various construction projects that had been halted midway, including the CRDA project site at Uddandarayuni Palem, All India Service Officers residential complex, MLAs’ quarters, and the AP NGO residential complex. The High Court area and other important sites were also inspected.
There is a buzz that significant changes are on the horizon. Chandrababu Naidu is expected to visit the capital region soon after taking the oath of office, and he plans to meet with local farmers officially.
Construction works are set to resume at a rapid pace, and efforts are being made to complete pending payments and other facilities for farmers within the next six months, as mandated by court orders.
Chandrababu Naidu has reportedly turned his attention back to Amaravati, planning to invite back organizations that had previously left and restart various development projects.
