RRR To Ayyanna – Who the Fighters Missed Ministries

Ahead of the swearing-in ceremony of Chandra Babu Naidu as the Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh in Vijayawada on Wednesday, the list of cabinet ministers in the new coalition government has been unveiled late in the mid-night. Though the portfolios have not been disclosed, the names of ministers who are going to be a part of the Naidu’s cabinet have been revealed.

The initial reaction from politics analysts is that the new cabinet of AP is a blend of fresh blood and party loyalists. As many as 17 out of 24 ministers are first-timers in the cabinet and 10 of them have won as MLAs for the first time. Senior leaders and party loyalists like Kinjarapu Atchunnaidu, Nimmala Rama Naidu, Ponguru Narayana, Anam Ram Narayana Reddy have been inducted into the cabinet of CBN 4.0.

Surprisingly, some of the seasoned politicians like Chintakayala Ayyannapatrudu, Gorantla Buchiah Chowdary, Dhulipala Narendra, Paritala Sunitha and some others have not been included in the cabinet. Also, the name Raghu Rama Krishna Raju, who was the first to revolt against Jagan Mohan Reddy’s government, is missing in the list which is quite unexpected because none from the Kshatriya caste have been given preference in the cabinet.

All these seniors have been with Naidu during tough times and when the party was in crisis. Despite Jagan’s vindictive politics, they didn’t desert the party and worked like warriors to bring TDP into power. Also, for many of them, 2024 is likely to be the last election due to various factors like age. So, it remains to be seen how Naidu respects them the other way without giving any place in the cabinet.

Besides these seniors, there are many prominent leaders who sacrificed their seats for the sake of alliance partners. It is going to be a big challenge for Naidu to satisfy them with at least nominated posts or some other significant positions in his government for the next five years. It should be keenly awaited how well he manages keep his party flock together.

As of now, the fate of senior leaders in TDP hangs in balance.
