‘Jagananna Gorumudda’ Replaced With PM-Poshan Gorumudda

The then opposition leaders criticized the outgoing CM of AP, YS Jagan Mohan Reddy for having his photo on most of the school supplies, including even on the peanut barfi that is giving to school-going kids. The afternoon meals program was also named after Jagan as it read “Jagananna Gorumuddha”.

The fascination of having Jagan, YSR, and YSR Congress branding on each and every government-oriented program was not welcomed by many. So, in first order of duty, Chandrababu Naidu has started to eradicate this name-fascination culture in AP government programs.

The newly formed government of AP renamed the afternoon meals program Jagananna Gorumuddha as PM-Poshan Gorumudda. Strategically, Jagan’s name was removed from the scheme, and PM’s name was added. New CM Chandrababu removed the Jagan branding on this whole scheme of things and instead of giving it TDP coloring, he gave it a more generic impression by naming the PM. Major portion of the funding for the scheme was given by Central government, hence PM Poshan Gorumudda is much apt title.

The government further ordered the continual distribution of eggs and other essential supplies to carry out the afternoon meals program. Also, the Jagan photo on the peanut barfi packaging has been replaced with AP government emblem.
