Rains Cause Rs 5K Cr Loss; KCR seeks Rs 1350 Cr From Centre

The flash floods in Hyderabad have created havoc and still the many colonies across the city are submerged in the water while people are waiting for the government’s help. In this view, Telangana CM KCR held a high-level emergency meeting at Pragathi Bhavan with the officials.

KCR asked the officials about the rescue operations being carried out and also assessed the loss incurred because of the incessant rains. Post the meeting, KCR and officials have come to a conclusion that Rs 5000 crore loss was incurred due to rains. Then CM KCR wrote to PM Narendra Modi for his financial help.

As an immediate relief KCR requested the Centre to release Rs 1350 crore for the rehabilitation and relief works.

Last evening PM Modi spoke to CM KCR and learned about the current situation in Telangana. PM extended all possible support and assistance from the Centre in rescue and relief work.
