One of the key agendas Chandrababu has actively advocated since taking charge as the CM of AP is public-friendly governance and administration. However, despite Chandrababu’s good intentions, there are occasional instances when some TDP legislators might overstep boundaries.
In one such incident, Haritha, the wife of AP Transport Department Minister Ram Prasad Reddy, made negative headlines by shouting at police officers for not arranging her convoy on time. This video of the minister’s wife berating the police quickly went viral on social media platforms.
Upon being informed about the issue, Chandrababu reportedly became furious and strongly reprimanded Minister Ram Prasad Reddy, according to reports.
Reports suggest that Chandrababu made it abundantly clear that maintaining good relations with the public and public servants is essential. He called the minister and emphasized the importance of treating public servants with respect. Today, he reportedly rebuked the minister over the viral video.
It is understood that Ram Prasad Reddy apologized for the incident and pledged to prevent such occurrences in the future. Following this, Naidu firmly stated that those who adopt policies against public interest will not be spared.
“This kind of reckless attitude from several YCP leaders contributed to the downfall of the party, and Naidu is well aware of this. Therefore, he is establishing a strong precedent against such behavior,” remarked a seasoned political observer.
