RRR manhandled! A1 Sunil Kumar, A3 Jagan

It is a well-known fact how the YSRCP government tried to harass rebel MLA Raghu Rama Krishna Raju (RRR) by filing several cases against him between 2019 and 2024, as he vehemently criticized YS Jagan’s policies. On May 14th, 2021, the CB CID police filed a case against RRR, leading to his arrest amid high drama. After being released on bail, RRR alleged that he was manhandled during interrogation by the then CB CID chief, PV Sunil Kumar.

Immediately after winning the recent assembly elections and becoming Undi MLA, RRR filed a complaint against Sunil Kumar, IPS officer Seetha Rama Anjaneyulu, and former CM Jagan Mohan Reddy with the Guntur SP last month. In his complaint, RRR alleged that the trio attempted murder, engaged in custodial torture, and conspired criminally.

In response to this complaint, the Nagarapalem Police of Guntur district filed an FIR against PV Sunil Kumar and other officers, including YS Jagan, in this case. Sunil Kumar is identified as A1, while Jagan Mohan Reddy is A3. Former CID IG Sunil Nayak and former DGP Paul are also named in the FIR.

RRR further alleged in the complaint that the superintendent of Guntur government general hospital, Dr. Prabhavathi, colluded with police officers and fabricated medical reports to falsely claim that there were no injuries on his body, in an attempt to cover up the police atrocities.
