BRS is in a political quagmire facing the threat of poaching both at the state and national level. The party’s defeat in the Assembly elections last year triggered the downfall of the party.
Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy is going on the aggressive and luring all the BRS leaders, with an aim to merge the BRS legislature party into the Congress.
In Delhi, the BRS is facing threat from the BJP which seems to be determined to induct all the Rajya Sabha members of the party into it.
There is buzz that the BRS Parliamentary party would be merged with the BJP.
With the BRS drawing a blank in the general elections, the Rajya Sabha MPs are planning to quit the party, as they see no future with it. Many of them are learnt to have gone in touch with the BJP bigwigs.
In Lok Sabha, there is no representation of the BRS. In Rajya Sabha, Parthasarathy Reddy, Damodar Rao, Suresh Reddy and Vaddiraju Ravichandra are representing the BRS.
The BJP is ready to induct all the four MPs into the party, which means the BRS Parliamentary Party has to merge with the BJP.
Meanwhile, there is talk that the Congress also got in touch with the BRS MPs.
With rival parties eyeing to attract the BRS’ elected representatives, the party is likely to face an existential threat in the coming days.
