Fake seed mafia is a big racket and on many occasions, this mafia cheated farmers and this even led to the death of farmers. Over the years, governments have tried their best to eradicate this fake seed mafia but every now and then this mafia keeps making headlines.
But what if an elected MLA gets hit by this mafia? It happened in Andhra Pradesh and the MLA belongs to the ruling party and he is none other than Mangalagiri MLA Alla Ramakrishna Reddy.
Going into details, RK owns 14 acres of farm land and he sowed seeds that belong to Manjeera company. MLA RK bought the seeds through AP Seeds limited and out of the 14 acres, five acres were found to be fake seeds.
Shocked by this MLA lodged a complaint with the agriculture department and having received it, the officials initiated a probe.
