Konda Surekha Apologizes to Samantha and Fans

Following severe backlash on her comments linking former minister KT Rama Rao for the divorce of actors Chaitanya and Samantha, minister Konda Surekha announced that she was withdrawing her statements.

She said that her remarks were aimed at questioning the demeaning attitude of a political leader towards an actress but not hurting their sentiments.

“I am inspired by the way you have grown believing in your own self. You exemplify strength of a woman. If you or your fans were hurt with my remarks, I apologise unconditionally and withdraw my remarks,” she tweeted on X.com

The entire Akkineni family and several other actors including Nani and Khushbu Sundar condemned Surekha’s remarks and expressed their objection towards her mentality on X.com.

Meanwhile, enraged over the wild accusation of the minister against him, KTR sent a legal notice to Surekha demanding unconditional apology within 24 hours.
