Jagan In Trouble With 200 Cr Cash Statement?

The property disputes between the brother-sister duo of YS Jagan Mohan Reddy and YS Sharmila is taking steep twists and turns every passing day. In a new development, Jagan noted that he had given approximately Rs 200 crore to Sharmila in the last decade out of sisterly love and affection.

At first glance, this looked like a cleverly devised statement from Jagan to maintain a good image in the public by furnishing that he lent enough monetary support to Sharmila, this very statement could backfire big time.

The common talk now is that Jagan, who had been riddled with CBI and ED cases claiming that he gave a lumpsum amount of Rs 200 crore to Sharmila is incoherent. While most of Jagan’s companies and assets are attached by ED and CBI, the former CM moving a large volume of money – approximately Rs 200 crore towards Sharmila is bringing suspicion.

A few experts are opining that Jagan openly claims to have given Rs 200 crore to Sharmila over the last decade while his disproportionate assets cases are still going on, which might be a cause of concern. If the ED actually pursues the origin and movement of such a massive amount of money, Jagan could be held responsible.

While there is no consolidated action on this front, the open statement from Jagan on moving such a lumpsum amount could potentially attract ED action. In the end, this sugarcoating statement could well land him in further trouble.
