South Indian politics are witnessing a very interesting phase with cinema stars marking their arrival in politics. The wave became increasingly prevalent after Pawan Kalyan remarkably won 23/23 seats (MLA+ MP) in the recent and became the deputy CM of the state.
Carrying the baton forward is Thalapathy Vijay who earmarked his arrival in Tamil Nadu electoral politics with a mega political meeting today.
Shortly after Vijay marked his arrival in Tamil Nadu politics, Deputy CM Pawan Kalyan took the occasion to share a heartfelt message to the Tamil superstar.
Pawan tweeted out “My Heartfelt Congratulations!! to Thiru Vijay avl, for embarking on a political journey in Tamilnadu, the land of Saints & Siddhars” as he heartily congratulated the Tamil superstar on starting his political journey.
Right in his very first speech, Vijay took on the DMK government in Tamil Nadu as he called them out for their family rule policy. This could well be a power move to energize Vijay who is evidently waging war against DMK which is a part of the INDIA alliance and against the conventional NDA bloc.
With DMK firing against the Modi-led NDA camp, the NDA needs a strongly reputed face in Tamil Nadu and as it appears, Vijay, along with the opposition AIADMK outfit could be up for the job. In tune with this, Pawan might have strategically lent a supporting hand to his contemporary, Thalapathy Vijay.
