Hard core YSR Congress party supporter Varra Ravindra Reddy, a close aide of YS Jagan’s wife YS Bharathi and Kadapa MP Avinash Reddy, has finally been arrested by Andhra Pradesh police at Mahabubnagar border today evening. As per reports, he was brought to Kadapa amid huge security.
It is a known fact that Varra Ravindra Reddy is accused of posting derogatory and vulgar remarks against other party leaders including women in the last five years. Several cases have been booked against him in different police stations. He has been elusive after the NDA government came to power in the state. A couple of days ago, he was nabbed by Kadapa police. In a dramatic turn of events, Varra was immediately released immediately after issue of 41-A notice.
The government took a serious note of his release and immediately ordered transfer of Kadapa SP Harshavardhan Raju. Immediately, several teams were formed to arrest Varra again. He switched off his mobiles and went into hiding to escape from Telugu States. Finally, the special teams were able to trace his whereabouts and caught him after a thorough search operation.
Varra is said to have worked as a Personal Assistant to YS Bharati in the past. He posted defamatory comments on Chandrababu Naidu, Pawan Kalyan, Sharmila and others.
Of late, the government of Andhra Pradesh led by NDA has decided to crackdown on the menace of social media abuse against women and also defamation of prominent persons with an ulterior motive. YSR Congress party supporters who have been posting abusive content on various social platforms came under the scanner and several of them have already been taken into custody.
