Official: Google Coming To Andhra Pradesh

The NDA-led government of Andhra Pradesh has taken a clearly progressive approach when it comes to inviting global investments to the state. In this context, a significant step has been taken today with a high level meeting between the government of Andhra Pradesh and Google’s representatives.

As per the latest reports, Andhra Pradesh government and Google signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) today at Amaravati, exploring various investment opportunities in the state.

It is principally understood that the MoU is pertinent to the proposed AI Data Center in Vizag, which will be operated by Google Cloud. This pretty much confirms that Google is indeed coming to Andhra Pradesh as a part of its tech drive in India.

On the matter, CM Chandrababu stated “Our new progressive industrial policies have created a business-friendly ecosystem, attracting investors, and paving the way for employment opportunities. Following up on the MoU signed between the GoAP and Google.

Earlier in the day, Babu met a Google delegation led by VP, Mr Bikash Koley in Amaravati today and the delegation offered him an overview of their operations and shared their ambitious plans in India. “I am proud that Andhra Pradesh has been identified as a key partner.” Babu noted later.

With a global giant like Google on its way to Andhra Pradesh, this could pave way for other leading companies to follow suit. It must also be noted that the government is actively in talks with Tesla as well, in an attempt to bring this global auto giant to the state.
