‘This Is My Last Election’

In a sensational thing, Bihar CM Nitish Kumar has categorically announced his retirement from politics. On Thursday, Nitish was campaigning in Purnia for the third phase of assembly polls.

“This is my last day of electioneering. Polling will be held the day after tomorrow. It is my last election and as it is my last one, I hope it ends well,” said Nitish Kumar. This statement created a storm in the political circles especially in Nitish’s own political party Janata Dal (United). Now a discussion has started within the party as to how will be the successor of Nitish? But what provoked Nitish to announce retirement is something that needs to be found out.

JD(U) and BJP have formed an alliance for the Assembly polls. The surprising thing is even BJP had no clue that Nitish would announce his retirement. Nitish had sworn in as CM of Bihar thrice and he is seeking a fourth term with the latest polls. Two phases of polling got completed so far and the third phase is on November 7th. The results will be declared on November 10th.
