Since yesterday, an unholy narrative was carried by certain political groups on the holy temple city of Tirupati. This is in connection with the unfortunate incident that happened in Tirupati, where a statue of Annamayya was seen with a Santa Claus cap on its head.
This quickly led to a discourse on social media as visited groups carried a narrative against the NDA government. It reached a point where this incoherent incident was used to spin a narrative that CM Chandrababu and deputy CM Pawan Kalyan’s regime has no regard for the Hindu community.
However, IT Minister Nara Lokesh was quick to react to this narrative on social media as he presented hard facts on this case by attaching a relevant video.
In the video shared by Lokesh, we clearly see a beggar wandering on the road, post which he places the Christmas cap on Annamayya statue’s head. In the end, this turned out to be an involuntary action committed by a road dweller and there’s no political conspiracy in the same.
Lokesh went on to fire on Jagan Mohan Reddy, by saying that the latter had already tarnished Tirupati and Tirumala enough in the last five years, but he still not done with it as he wants to completely destroy Tirupati’s image.
