The newly formed TTD board has been taking several reformative measures pertaining to the Tirumala temple and they are back at it again. This time, the TTD board has addressed the complaint raised by the Telangana-origin politicians.
TTD has now announced that the recommendations of Telangana politicians will be endorsed twice a week in Tirumala. Meaning, those with the recommendation letters from public representatives based out of Telangana will be given adequate Darshan privileges twice per week.
This comes after the complaints from BRS’s Srinivas Goud and Congress’s Konda Surekha who pushed for better treatment of Telangana politicians in Tirumala.
The good thing is that the TTD acted rather quickly on this matter and didn’t give space for more such political commentary. Needless to say, such detrimental talk will only hurt the image of the holy Tirumala Devasthanam and that’s not what the TTD wants. The board has made it clear that Tirumala must be kept out of political discussions and they’ve taken another step in this regard.
