Jagan Links ‘Tirumala Laddu’ To Stampede Tragedy

YS Jagan, made shocking remarks, claiming that the ruling alliance government in the state is afraid of him. He accused the government of trying to block his visit to Tirupati by using the police, citing their fear of his influence.

Jagan visited the injured devotees at the SVIMS hospital in Tirupati and spent considerable time speaking with them. He spent 5 to 10 minutes with each victim, listening to their experiences, before addressing the media.

“The incident that happened in Tirupati is unprecedented in the history of the state. Such a large number of devotees losing their lives in a stampede has never been seen before. The reasons behind this are clear — every year, on the occasion of Vaikuntha Ekadashi, millions of devotees flock to Tirupati to have the darshan of Lord Venkateswara. Devotees believe that visiting the temple on this day brings great blessings. That’s why they rush to get tokens for darshan. But why was there no security at the token counters? TTD officials, including the district collector, are responsible for this disaster,” Jagan commented.

Jagan strongly criticized Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu for speaking inappropriately about the incident. He also accused the CM of registering a faulty FIR, and said that all top officials, including the Chief Minister, the district collector, the SP, TTD higher-ups, and the police, were responsible for the tragedy. “This is Chandrababu’s own district, yet the TTD acted irresponsibly. This is government negligence. The government should take full responsibility for the incident,” Jagan demanded.

Jagan also raised concerns about the Chief Minister’s recent remarks on the Tirumala Laddu prasadams, accusing him and his the then YCP government. “The CM has no fear or devotion to God, which is why he spread lies about the Tirumala prasadams. His actions are directly responsible for this incident today,” Jagan concluded.

He further demanded a compensation of at least ₹50 lakh for the families of those who lost their lives in the incident.
