The chief minister of Andhra Pradesh, Chandrababu Naidu will soon be on his way to Switzerland to take part in the World Economic Forum summit that is being held in Davos. Ahead of this highly anticipated trip, Babu has managed to poach a crucial investment body head from the neighbouring state of Tamil Nadu.
As per the latest media reports, Chandrababu has managed to attract Sarin Paraparakath, a senior executive officer who was operating in the top ranks of Tamil Nadu. Andhra Pradesh government has recruited Sarin Paraparakath as senior vice-president of the newly constituted Economic Development Board.
Earlier, Paraparakath was senior Vice President at Guidance Tamil Nadu, the southern state’s investment promotion agency credited with bringing big-ticket investments. reportedly, he had a crucial role to play in the robust investment mechanism that was nurtured by Tamil Nadu.
Perhaps CM Babu felt that having an expert investment officer like Sarin will come along way in enhancing the prospect of Andhra Pradesh in Davos. This could very well be a masterstroke from Chandrababu ahead of this kindly anticipated business trip that is aimed at bringing in surplus investments to Andhra Pradesh.
The Economic Development Board was almost non operational under Jagan Mohan Reddy which resulted in poor investment opportunities to the state. This is now being resurrected by the Andhra Pradesh government under Chandrababu’s leadership.
