The lockdown has been extended again for two more weeks separating the country with three different zones, green, orange, and red along with some metropolitan cities in ‘no zone’. But Hyderabad has fallen in a red zone due to the number of cases recording every day.
Though the lockdown has been extended to May 17, there are some relaxations in the lower-risk green zone and orange zone, but not in the red zone. Many may want to know the possible date on which the red zone areas will turn green.
According to the regulations passed by the Union health department, the Red zone areas will be marked green only when there are absolutely no positive cases in the areas for 21 consecutive days. The same rule applies to the Orange zone to turn Green zones anywhere in the country.
There are many red zones in both Telugu states and Hyderabad being in it, there is a dilemma on how the things will be managed in the city with red zone and containment restrictions. Red zones as well have some relaxations like medical clinics, Industries, single non-essential shops, E-com Essential goods, Agri activities, Banks and finances, courier and postal, Goods traffic, and Industrials with access control, but they should not be in containment areas to operate.
21 consecutive days without a single case seems to be a long way to go, but can be achieved if the relaxations do not turn the catalysts in raising the number of cases from now.
