Why Davos Trip Is Important For AP? Here’s Explanation

The government of Andhra Pradesh sent its delegation, including chief minister, Chandrababu and IT Minister Lokesh to the World Economic Forum in Davos, Switzerland and this is going to be a crucial step in enhancing the state’s economic landscape.

When asked about the importance to have the representation at the WEF, Lokesh had a very affirmative answer. He noted that this is crucial step in rebuilding the global image of AP at multiple levels.

“The first and foremost issue that we are facing while inviting investments to Andhra Pradesh, is that potential suitors are asking us what if Jagan become CM again. They are so very scared of Jagan’s tyranny that they want us to make certain assurances. The demolition done in the last five years needs us, the new government to show persistence and perseverance at global level to indicate stable economic conditions. The best way to do this is by having representation at the Davos Forum” Lokesh noted.

The IT minister sounded extremely confident about bringing a large number of investments to Andhra Pradesh shortly after this WEF in Davos. The implication was that chief minister, Chandrababu will reassure on the global arena that he is back at the helm, and Andhra Pradesh will continue to prosper under his tenure.

Adding to that, Chandrababu has managed to attract Sarin Paraparakath, a senior executive officer who was operating in the top ranks of Tamil Nadu. Andhra Pradesh government has recruited Sarin Paraparakath as senior vice-president of the newly constituted Economic Development Board.

This expert executive support at global events like WEF will help AP to attract the global giants at ease as these suitors could look at the strong portfolio of the state and explore options here. This was a clever move from Babu just days before the Davos trip.

Lokesh himself is scheduled to meet over 50 companies representatives in the five-day period and this will be a crucial step to invite investments, much like how he could convenience Google to explore Vizag after his recent U.S. trip.

So, on multiple levels, this Davos trip is going to be a mighty crucial one for the economic development of Andhra Pradesh.
