The government of Andhra Pradesh has introduced the revolutionary and state of art WhatsApp governance services today and this is a step towards eliminating physical presence at government offices and providing services virtually.
Now that the WhatsApp governance is fully in effect, here’s a step by step guide to the services that are offered here.
This portal essentially offers direct access to as many as 161 services including temple endowments, grievance redressal, APSRTC, electricity biller, CM Relief Fund, water connections and property management, revenue services, NTR health services, AP Police Services and others.
Step 1:
The user must first save the number 9552300009 on the phone and then access the service on WhatsApp.
Step 2:
Once the user prompts a message on the WhatsApp number, a portal of the services offered will be displayed on screen.
Step 3:
Select the service that you’d like to access from the portal. This includes the mentioned services like electricity billes, police services, APSRTS bookings, etc.
Step 4:
Once the option is selected, the biller payment platform, and online accessibility service under the concerned department will be opened.
What this essentially means is that virtually every government service that has been streamlined through the WhatsApp portal will be accessible in four simple steps. The process looks very simple and free to access even for the rural folk.
Another thoughtful work is that all the services are displayed in Telugu as well, which makes the job that much easier for the masses.
