Mahesh Babu’s Babai Explains Jagan’s Historic Downfall

Superstar Mahesh Babu is completely away from politics and never comments on relevant matters. However, his paternal uncle (Babai), Adi Seshagiri Rao, the younger brother of superstar Krishna, is quite active in political commentary.

In a recent interview, Rao spoke about the historic downfall of Jagan, and here is what he had to say. One key point to note is that Seshagiri Rao owned the land in Tadepalli, where Jagan later built a lavish house. Jagan purchased the land from him a few years ago.

The senior political observer, who was briefly associated with the YSR Congress, stated that Jagan did virtually nothing to prove himself as a successful chief minister.

“All that Jaganmohan Reddy and his ministers did was abuse Chandrababu and his family at every turn. Jagan publicly resorted to destructive politics. He was operating with the sole intention of hurting Chandrababu and his family. But when it came to public policy-making, Jagan could not achieve a single major factor that would resonate with the common public,” Seshagiri Rao said.

Rao further explained that Jagan failed to materialize any significant government project that could define his political career. He described the three capitals proposal as a colossal disaster, which severely damaged Jagan’s image.

“The development we could actually see, like roads, drainage systems, and the significant Polavaram project, was left incomplete. Jagan didn’t realize that development was just as important as welfare. While Chandrababu was a progressive chief minister, who continued the good schemes from the previous government, Jagan was adamant about discontinuing Chandrababu’s programs,” he added.

Although Seshagiri Rao is not actively involved in politics these days, his analysis and assessment seem accurate, as he rightly pointed out the shortcomings of the previous Jagan government.
