Babu Makes Costly Heart Attack Injection Free To Poor

The NDA government in Andhra Pradesh has taken a significant decision aimed at offering hope and reassurance to the poor. Under this new initiative, the government will take steps to save the lives of poor people who suffer heart attacks, ensuring that they receive treatment until they can be transferred to a hospital. As part of this, the government has decided to provide the life-saving Tenecteplase injection, which is essential in the first hour after a heart attack, completely free of charge. This injection typically costs between ₹40,000 to ₹45,000, but the Chandrababu government has made it available to the poor at no cost.

In recent years, the number of heart attacks has been on the rise. People of all ages, without regard to socioeconomic status, are increasingly affected. While individuals with a certain financial status may manage to cope, heart attacks are life-threatening for the poor. Often, by the time they reach the nearest hospital, it is too late. Prompt treatment can make a significant difference, but accessing such treatment in time is often not feasible, especially for those in rural or remote areas. In such critical situations, the Tenecteplase injection becomes vital. If the government provides this injection for free, it ensures a safety net for the lives of the poor.

Normally, raising the necessary funds for treatment during a heart attack is extremely difficult. Financial hardship, combined with the distance to nearby hospitals, has proven to be fatal for many poor families. After reviewing the situation, Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu decided to implement this decision with the belief that poor people should not fear heart attacks anymore.

This decision by the Chandrababu government is a major milestone in protecting the health of the poor. It is expected that this initiative will significantly reduce heart attack-related fatalities. This is considered one of the best steps taken by Chandrababu Naidu’s government to safeguard the lives and health of the state’s underprivileged citizens.
