₹40 Lakh Offer to Silence Complaint in Vamsi’s Case?

YCP senior leader Vallabhaneni Vamsi, who was taken into custody to investigate the case relating to vandalization of TDP office in Gannavaram, orchestrated the kidnap of Mudunuri Satyavardhan and coaxed him to withdraw the complaint filed against him.

As per Media reports, Vamsi also promised to give Rs 40 lakh to Satyavardhan if he did this favour.

During police interrogation, it is learnt that Vamsi and his supporters intimidated Satyavardhan of dire consequences if he did not agree to the offer. They even paid an advance of Rs 20,000 to Satyavardhan.

Vamsi had plans to file a quash petition in the high court and get relieved from the case, basing on Satyavardhan’s statement in the SC, ST court. Once the High Court quashed the case, Vamsi promised to give the remaining amount of Rs total 40 lakh promised to Satyavardhan.

Vamsi’s associates brought Satyavardhan to the court and after his statement was recorded, they kept him under their custody. Vamsi’s associates played a key role in the kidnapping of Satyavardhan.

While one of his associate, who is a bookie, arranged for the money, another one planned the whole episode. Police found that Vamsi’s followers trapped Satyavardhan with the help of his relatives.

Police included one of his associate’s name in the FIR after collecting concrete evidences of his role in the kidnap episode. Police arrested five persons in connection with the case so far.

It is learned that the police are trying to influence the absconding individual to surrender to the authorities. The police, who reached Hyderabad after obtaining a search warrant from the court, could not find the phone at his residence, even though the last signal from the device indicated it was used at the same location.

Last Thursday, when the police reached Vamsi’s residence in Hyderabad to arrest him, he sought permission to change his clothes before being taken into custody. Vamsi took nearly 40 minutes to come back to the police during which time, he is believed to have spoken to several people on phone.

Had the phone been seized at that moment, the police would have obtained several clues in connection with the case.Though Satyavardhan has been released by Vamsi’s associates, he is still petrified.

He told the police that Vamsi’s supporters threatened him and forced him to give the false statement in the past. On Monday, Satyavardhan is expected to speak before the Judge.
