Jagan’s 1st Press Meet On Vamsi: What He Said?

The former Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh and President of YSR Congress, YS Jagan, had a busy day today as he visited the Vijayawada District Jail to meet his party’s ex-MLA, Vallabhaneni Vamsi, who was arrested in a kidnapping case.

Shortly after meeting Vamsi during Mulaqat at the Vijayawada District Jail, Jagan addressed the media and made a series of interesting remarks.

Jagan stated that the arrest of Vallabhaneni Vamsi is a reflection of the poor law and order situation in Andhra Pradesh. He implied that the serious crime committed by Vamsi’s group, in which they attacked and vandalized the TDP office in Gannavaram, should not be taken too seriously.

“Vamsi is not related to this case in any way. Even the statement filed by Sathya Vardhan, the victim in the case, does not mention Vamsi’s name. Chandrababu wanted to arrest Vamsi one way or another, which is why he filed a false case against him. If the victim himself withdrew the case against Vamsi, how can the government still stage it against him and get him arrested?” Jagan stated.

The Pulivendula MLA further alleged that Chandrababu had previously instigated Pattabi to provoke Vamsi, creating an unrest that ultimately led to the attack on the TDP office in Gannavaram. He maintained that Vamsi was not involved in the attack in any way.

Then came a shocking statement from Jagan, as he declared that he would not spare anyone involved in the case and issued a strong warning to the Andhra Pradesh police department.

“Anyaayam chesina vallani battalu oodadeesi nilabedatham. Retire ayyina, out of country vellina, ikkadiki techi nilabedatham.” Jagan said. (We will strip those who committed injustice and make them stand. Even if they retire or leave the country, we will bring them back and hold them accountable.)

The fact that a former Chief Minister himself made such unusually aggressive comments against the police department does not reflect well on Jagan. He used extreme language while warning the police today, which could further damage his public image.
