The deputy chief minister of Andhra Pradesh, Pawan Kalyan, had a sensible solution to the Assembly issue that Jagan is facing. On one hand, Jagan is reluctant to attend the assembly session, and on the other hand, he appears to be worried about the prospect of getting disqualified if he skips consecutively. Also, there’s the burning desire to get opposition leader status.
In this context, the deputy CM gave a smart and sensible advice to Jagan as he asked the former CM not to indulge too much in this opposition leader narrative.
Paavan pointed out that it is the people who must give a position, leader of status and not the governments or speakers. “Just because Jagan was the chief minister last time, it doesn’t mean he must be the opposition later this time.”
“My advice to Jagan is to stay patient and respect the public mandate that was delivered. He must stop behaving immaturely and refrain from low-level mindset. If he acts with humanity and respect, he will receive adequate recognition from us. We are all working based on the mandate that was delivered by the public, and there are no two ways about it.”
Pawan was of the implication that Jagan is a bit too desperate for opposition status, and this is not the right thing to do. He advised Jagan to respect the verdict that was delivered by the public as too much desperation will only mean that he is openly dissenting against the voters. This is a mature advice from Pawan Kalyan, but it has to be seen if Jagan would actually take a cue from the same.
