Nandi Awards Are Finally Making A Comeback!

The much awaited Nandi Awards are finally set to return in Andhra Pradesh. The state government has given the green signal to conduct the pending awards from 2012 to 2024 along with the 2025 awards. This comes after a long gap, bringing back one of the most prestigious recognitions in Telugu cinema.

The pending 2012 to 2016 Nandi and National Film Awards will be presented in Vijayawada in November. For 2017 to 2024, selected awards will be given every year, while the 2025 awards will also be included in the process.

The government has planned a separate grand event for the Nandi Film Awards in Amaravati or Vijayawada. The Nandi TV Awards will be presented in Tirupati. The ceremonies are expected to take place in December 2026.

The jury committees for the pending awards are being formed, with the selection process scheduled for November. The winners list for the 2017 to 2024 and 2025 awards is also expected to be announced in November.

As per the latest details, 46 awards will be presented in the film category. The awards will cover various sections including Best Film, Best Actor, Best Actress, supporting categories and other special recognitions.

After years of waiting, the return of the Nandi Awards is definitely a notable development for the Telugu film industry. Now, all eyes are on the jury selections, the awardees and the grand comeback event later this year.
