Telangana Chief Minister Revanth Reddy’s comments on the death of Telugu film producer Kedar Selagamsetty sparked a new controversy. Kedar, who had traveled to Dubai for a wedding, was found dead in his hotel room. While initial reports suggested he passed away in his sleep, speculation soon emerged about a possible drug overdose.
During his visit to New Delhi on Wednesday, CM Revanth Reddy emphasized that multiple individuals connected to drug-related cases have been dying under suspicious circumstances. He urged the media to take note and assured that a thorough investigation would be conducted if any complaints were raised.
Furthermore, he questioned why former Telangana Minister KTR had not called for an inquiry into such incidents, indirectly suggesting a possible link between these deaths and KTR.
Kedar had strong connections in the Telugu film industry. He previously managed a pub and was investigated in connection with a drug case linked to a party at Hyderabad’s Radisson Hotel last year. The police identified him as a victim rather than a supplier.
Kedar had announced a film with Vijay Devarakonda under Sukumar’s direction, but it never materialized.
