A former policeman who went on to make his political debut and ride on Jagan wave in 2019 election and became Anantapur MP, Gorantla Madhav is a very animated character. In his brief political stint, he already got caught in MMS video scandals and is infamous for abusing Jagan’s political opponents in unparliamentary language.
Cut to now, Gorantla Madhav is also surely starting to face the heat after his fellow party men, Vallabhaneni Vamsi and Posani Krishna Murali who got nabbed by AP police earlier.
Gorantla Madhav was served notices under BNS Section 35/3 by cybercrime police today. He was notified to appear for investigation in front of the cybercrime department on March 5.
Another shocking and interesting thing here is that the complaint was filed against Madhav by former YSR Congress lady, Vasireddy Padma. She complained that Madhav had earlier intruded the security and privacy of a POCSO case victim by publicly revealing her name, back in November last year.
According to law, it is against the regulation to publicly reveal the name of a POCSO case victim. Being a former policeman himself, one would’ve expected Madhav to be aware of this. But he crossed the line and dismayed the same and as a result, finds himself in a legal mess now as the cybercrime department is perusing the case against him.
As it appears, every YCP leader who crossed the line of law and order between 2019-24 is going to be brought under law under the NDA government.
