Telangana Assembly sessions are currently underway, where the deputy Chief Minister and Finance Minister Bhatti Vikramarka presented the state budget for the financial year 2025-26. Bhatti Vikramarka announced that a budget of Rs. 3,04,965 crore is being presented to the House for this year. The total revenue expenditure comes around Rs. 2,26,982 crore, while the capital expenditure is around Rs. 36,504 crore.
“Telangana citizens evinced their trust in us by granting power. We will provide transparent governance to fulfill the aspirations of the people. We are working to get economy back on track, which was severely damaged during the previous government’s tenure. Some people are deliberately criticizing the welfare and development programs undertaken by the government,” he said.

Panchayat Raj Department – Rs. 31,605 crore
Agriculture Department – Rs. 24,439 crore
Education Department – Rs. 23,108 crore
Women and Child Welfare Department – Rs. 2,862 crore
Animal Husbandry Department – Rs. 1,674 crore
Civil Supplies Department – Rs. 5,734 crore
Labor Department – Rs. 900 crore

SC Welfare – Rs. 40,232 crore
ST Welfare – Rs. 17,169 crore
BC Welfare – Rs. 11,405 crore
Handloom sector – Rs. 371 crore
Minority Welfare Department – Rs. 3,591 crore

Industries Department – Rs. 3,527 crore
IT sector – Rs.774 crore
