During the reign of former Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy, the people of AP were ridiculed for not having a proper capital city. However, with the Chandrababu Naidu-led alliance government at the helm, the situation is limping back to normalcy. The CBN government is firm on its decision to develop Amaravati into a world-class capital city.
Even the latest AI sensation, Grok, reiterates Chandrababu’s vision for the Andhra capital. Recently, an X user asked Grok to choose between Amaravati or Vizag as the capital of Andhra Pradesh from the perspective of finance to social inclusiveness.
To this, Grok replied, Amaravati as the smarter choice for Andhra Pradesh’s capital. Explaining further, Grok said that Amaravati is a central location and known for its social inclusiveness, despite high costs (Rs 64,721 crore). “It honors farmer commitments and balances regional access,” said the AI.
Talking about Vizag, Grok said, “Vizag, with existing infrastructure, saves money and leverages its economic hub status, but its northern position may favor one region. Amaravati’s historical significance adds cultural weight,” thereby ending the debate with a foolproof analysis. Grok’s reply has become a hit with the supporters of Amaravati as AP capital, while the sympathisers of the opposition party have dismissed Grok’s views as a mere perspective.
Meanwhile, Chandrababu Naidu is determined to revive the capital building works in Amaravati. He will extend an invitation to Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi to relaunch infrastructure and development programs in Amaravati later this year. Babu plans to lay the foundation for Rs 1 lakh crore worth of investments and aims to complete the works within 3 years.
