Political power is a very elusive phenomena. Anyone who is holding significant political power can have a huge influence on the public and this directly reflects in their social image. Incidentally, this political power and influence was used as a barometer by leading Indian publication Indian Express as they compiled their list of most influential Indians.
This list is obviously topped by Prime Minister Narendra Modi who is at number one position and he is followed by union home Minister Amit Shah at second position. External affairs minister Jai Shankar is on third position.
Incidentally, Andhra Pradesh chief minister Chandrababu Naidu is ranked 14th on this list and he is one of the highest rank chief ministers in the country after UP chief minister, Yogi Adityanath.
On the other hand, we have Telangana chief minister Revanth Reddy, who is on 28th position on this list and this is a better result compared to the 39th position he held last year.
However, there is no trace of YS Jagan and KCR, who ruled Andhra Pradesh and Telangana with absolute power until a few months back. Shortly after their political downfall, their influence and dominance in their respective states, also appears to have gone down considerably as they are not featured on this list compiled by Indian Express.
