Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu continues to leave people awestruck with his energy levels, even as he enters his seventies. This demonstrates that he is a health enthusiast, taking utmost care of both his body and mind to keep them fit and sharp.
On the occasion of World Health Day, he advised the public to cut down on salt, oil, and sugar consumption, which can help prevent chronic diseases. He suggested that a family of four should limit their monthly intake to 600 grams of salt, two liters of oil, and three kilograms of sugar.
Naidu emphasized that limiting these intakes would help prevent many diseases, particularly cardiovascular and kidney issues. He particularly stressed the importance of reducing salt consumption. Additionally, Naidu advocated for daily physical activity, recommending a 30-minute walk and 30 minutes of prayer or meditation to promote mental health and reduce stress. He urged Secretariat employees to follow this regimen, regardless of their religion, to ensure their well-being.
As a busy Chief Minister, Naidu’s commitment to public health has garnered national attention. Many national media outlets have highlighted his message to the public.
Chandrababu Naidu also launched the Digital Health Nerve Centre (DiNC), a tech-enabled initiative aimed at revolutionizing public health delivery in the state. The pilot program will be rolled out in Kuppam on June 15. DiNC aims to achieve 100 percent Ayushman Bharat Health Account (ABHA) coverage and integrate all electronic health records.
The pilot project will be implemented in the Kuppam constituency as part of phase one and run for three months. If successful, it will be expanded to 31 mandals in Chittoor district. If this phase proves effective, the program will be extended to all 26 districts in 26 months.
