A major fire that engulfed the River Valley Shophouse in Singapore has left 1 young girl dead and injured over 15 students in Singapore on Tuesday morning. Andhra Pradesh Deputy Chief Minister Pawan Kalyan’s son, Mark Shankar Pawanovich, is among the injured. Mark sustained injuries to his hands and legs and also faced breathing issues as smoke entered his lungs during the mishap.
The River Valley Shophouse is home to several educational institutions and enrichment centres for children. Mark studies in one of the schools in the three-storey building. The Singapore Civil Defence Force (SCDF) rescued over 80 survivors and admitted 5 adults and 15 young children, including Mark Shankar, to the KK Women’s and Children’s Hospital. A 10-year-old girl breathed her last while undergoing treatment. Details about the deceased girl are yet to be reported.
Upon being informed about his son’s hospitalisation in Singapore, Pawan Kalyan, who is on a developmental tour in the agency area in the Alluri Sitarama Raju district, decided to continue his tour. Pawan will be flying to Singapore from Vizag in a special flight after completing his tour, today. Mark Shankar was born to Pawan Kalyan and his wife Anna Lezhneva in October 2017.
