However, the gesture raised eyebrows as Jagan did not publicly wish his own mother, Y.S. Vijayamma, who celebrated her birthday just a day earlier on April 19. In both 2023 and 2024, Jagan had shared warm messages and photos with his mother on her birthday. This year’s silence has sparked speculation about growing tensions within the YSR family. However, close associates of Jagan suggest that he did wish Vijayamma over a personal phone call.

The strained relations between Jagan and his sister, Y.S. Sharmila, have been making headlines for months. The conflict is mainly about a property dispute, with Jagan even filing a case in the National Company Law Tribunal (NCLT) against both his mother and sister. The case involves the transfer of shares in Saraswati Power and Industries Pvt. Ltd. Vijayamma has openly supported Sharmila in the dispute and has expressed her sadness over the family differences.
