One of the biggest and most significant investments to Andhra Pradesh has been announced by chief minister, Chandrababu Naidu in the most simplest and candid way possible. This happened at a public meeting where Chandrababu announced that Google is coming to Vizag for an investment and development project.
Babu communicated that Google is going to set up an analytics and artificial intelligence development unit in Vizag, and it will be fully operational very soon. The exact timeframe of this project was not disclosed by Chandrababu for obvious reasons, but he clearly stated that this project is going to happen very soon.
Babu, further communicated that once Google sets up this development project in Vizag, it will develop Andhra Pradesh into a knowledge economy hub of India.
The fact that Chandrababu made this revelation while interacting with engineering students, is befitting enough. In fact, Chandrababu was the one who promised a safer and more prosperous future for the younger generation and he hinted at the same through this “Google to Vizag” announcement.
It can be noted that IT minister Nara Lokesh had travelled to the United States later last year and he met the representatives of Google, which is possibly when this development project was first materialised. It appears that Babu and his government was getting things done silently without much publicity before Babu candidly announced the project yesterday.
