A tragic incident occurred at the Simhachalam temple during the Chandanotsavam festival, where a wall near the ₹300 ticket counter collapsed due to heavy rains and strong winds. The unfortunate collapse claimed the lives of seven devotees.
Rescue operations are currently underway, with emergency teams working tirelessly at the site. Andhra Pradesh Home Minister and the District Collector have reached the temple premises and are personally monitoring the situation.
