Sarada Peetham seer Swaroopanandendra Saraswathi’s birthday would be celebrated in a grand manner in Andhra Pradesh. Given the affinity the seer enjoys with Chief Minister Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy, the state government issued orders to all the major temples in Andhra Pradesh to make arrangements for special pujas on the seer’s birthday falling on November 18.
It is being said that the Vizag Sarada Peetham seer had performed some special rituals that helped in invoking divine power for Jagan’s rise to power in Andhra Pradesh during 2019 elections. Since then, Jagan has been believing in the seer’s words and there is talk that the Chief Minister is shifting the capital too to Vizag on his advice only.
It is learnt that the state government too issued orders asking the authorities to celebrate the seer’s birthday. Endowments department additional commissioner K. Ramachandra Mohan had issued memoranda to the EOs of Arasavalli temple in Srikakulam district, Dwaraka Tirumala, Rama Theertham, Simhachalam, Kanaka Mahalakshmi, Annavaram, Antarvedi, Mavulamma Devasthanam asking them to make the necessary arrangements for the birthday celebrations.
On November 9, Sarada Peetham manager P. Ramakrishna had written to the AP government stating that the seer’s birthday would be celebrated on November 18 and also asking the officials to direct the officials in all other temples in the state to make the arrangements for performing special rituals on the occasion.
