Operation Sindoor is currently trending across the nation as India is replying to the terrorist attack that happened in Kashmir recently. However, Pakistan is also trying to reply with violence. As per the reports, Pakistan resorted to arbitrary and indiscriminate firing and artillery shelling across the Line of Control, leaving many civilians dead.
The media is reporting unofficial numbers that almost ten civilians were killed during the firing, and almost 30 people were injured. The dead also include children and women. Soon after the news came out, J&K Chief Minister Omar Abdullah decided to meet officials from border districts to discuss the attacks.
The firing and shelling came hours after India launched precision strikes under the mission – Operation Sindoor. India launched the airstrikes at terror training camps – run by the Jaish-e-Mohammed and the Lashkar-e-Taiba – inside Pakistan and Pakistan-occupied Kashmir.
“Our actions have been focused, measured, and non-escalatory in nature. No Pakistani military facilities have been targeted. India has demonstrated considerable restraint in the selection of targets and the method of execution,” the Indian Defence Ministry statement stated.
