The government of Andhra Pradesh celebrated Environment day today to propagate the spirit of conserving the environment and natural resources. Chief minister Chandrababu and deputy chief minister, Pawan Kalyan took part in this event, and this was when a significant announcement was made.
Chief minister, Chandrababu Naidu announced that natural and wildlife conservation propagator Anka Rao is the new Special advisor to Andhra Pradesh government regarding environment conservation.
Babu announced that Anka Rao will be appointed as special advisor and a related order will be released soon. This will mean that he will hold an Official government position to carry forward his goal of conserving the nature.
For those who don’t know about Anka Rao, He is renowned expert who specialises in forest conservation. He resides near the Nallamala forest and follows this daily schedule of commuting to the deeper pockets of the first to collect the plastic items left by tourists. He wishes to keep the forest clean from plastic and unnatural pollution.
On top of that, Rao grows millets in 1 acre plot surrounding forest, where he leaves the produce for the birds and local flora and fauna to flourish. He is regarded as one of the pioneer of the nature conservation drive in the state and also across India.
His efforts have been richly rewarded by the Andhra Pradesh government as he was appointed as a special advisor to the state government, which is a rare and valuable position.
