The chief minister of Andhra Pradesh, Chandrababu Naidu had made it very clear that his government will deliver public friendly governance. He is walking the talk now and the same is evident in the case of the helping hand that had been lent to farming community in the state.
Incidentally, mango farmers in Andhra Pradesh were in deep crisis after a deep crash in the prices. At one point, the mass produce grade of Mangoes (Bangloora) variety went for ₹6000 per tonne. These are pathetic prices and could have had a serious role on farmers if this continued.
However, the government of Andhra Pradesh has come to the rescue of the farmers at the right point in time and the same was communicated by Minister Atchannaidu today.
It was confirmed by the cabinet minister that the minimum buying price for Mangos has been set at ₹12,000 per tonne. Of the mentioned amount, the companies must pay ₹8000 while the government will directly deposit 4000 in the bank accounts of farmers.
This rescue measured by the government confirms double the price that was initially paid to farmers, and this must come as a huge sign of relief to the community across the state.
Considering the fact that mango is a yearly crop, any kind of mishaps in prices can have huge consequences on the farming community. So it was so great importance that the government takes adequate measures, and they rightly did the same now.
