Babu’s Big Move: MLA Offices Across All Constituencies

Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu declared that every MLA would be provided a special office at the constituency headquarters. Officials and experts will also be available in the office to transform it into a nodal centre.

Naidu virtually inaugurated the Swarnandhra Vision Units set up in each of the 175 constituency headquarters in the 26 districts.

Speaking on the occasion, he said that he had been in politics for more than four decades. When the MLA goes to the constituency, there will be no place for the MLA to stay except the party office or the government guest house.

As part of the Swarnandhra Vision, MLAs will have their own offices at every constituency headquarters. The nodal officer in that office and the collector of the district will discuss problems and try to resolve them. The educational institution which has been selected as the knowledge partner will also share its views in finding solutions to public grievances.

An expert will also be appointed at the MLA office. It is the responsibility of the collector and elected representatives to coordinate with all those appointed by the government at the MLA office. A special team comprising five employees from the Secretariats will also be available to give suggestions to the MLA and the collector.

“Each Swarnandhra 2047 unit will have the constituency MLA as the chairman, district official as the nodal officer and Rs 10 lakh has been released for providing every office with the necessary infrastructure.” babu said.

Each MLA should chalk out an action plan to make the society healthy, wealthy and happy. They should be able to implement the action plan, and achieve the goals by 2029.

The CM said that P4 policy (public-private-people partnership) will be continuously implemented. P4 aims at economic development and poverty alleviation. MLAs will have to build up their own network and also choose knowledge partners to aid in the development of their constituencies, he added.
