Sakshi media has started to come under the radar for the atrocious program they aired against Amaravati where the prospective capital of the state was referred to like a brothel. Shortly after, Sakshi’s senior journalist Kommineni Srinivasa Rao arrested by Andhra Pradesh Police, while the guest journalist is on the run.
While TDP supporters and Amaravati activists are already pressuring the government and police department to arrest the journalist who made the vulgar comment, something untoward has happened now.
Coming to the topic now, Sakshi media has sustained another significant loss, this time more of a physical one. According to the latest social media reports, Sakshi office in Eluru of Andhra Pradesh was set on fire and reportedly suffered severe damage. The furniture inside the office reportedly caught fire and the damage is significant.
Shortly after the incident, the blame was conveniently pushed on local Telugu Desam supporters. But the TDP supporter group stated that they had nothing to do with the incident.
In response, TDP supporters are arguing that YCP leaders themselves might’ve set Sakshi office on fire to divert the topic and gain sympathy.
While the blame game has started on this matter, it has to be seen where this seemingly inexplicable saga will end up as serious repercussions are looking increasingly likely.
