NDA Govt Delivers: ‘Thalliki Vandanam’ Brings Relief to Poor Mothers

As the Nara Chandrababu Naidu-led coalition government in Andhra Pradesh turns 1 year tomorrow, millions of students and those enrolling in class 1 to intermediate first year are set to benefit from the Thalliki Vandanam scheme, one of the key Super 6 election promises made by the NDA government.

As part of the scheme, Rs 8,745 crores will be directly deposited into the accounts of the mothers of 67.27 lakh eligible students on June 12, 2025. The move comes right on the day of the reopening of the schools and colleges across Andhra Pradesh after the summer holidays.

The Thalliki Vandanam scheme benefits every student who is actively pursuing his or her education and provides a solace for parents struggling to cope with their wards’ education-related expenses.

Thalliki Vandanam also benefits newly enrolled students for the academic year 2025-26. However, the money will be credited to the bank accounts only after the education department authorities verify their admission data, followed by the formal acknowledgement of the government.

Announcing the launch of the Thalliki Vandanam scheme on the eve of the reopening of schools and colleges across the state, AP minister Nara Lokesh announced that CM Nara Chandrababu Naidu has given his green signal to the scheme, benefiting 67,27,164 students across the state.

Nara Lokesh further added that other major promises, such as pension hikes, the revival of Anna Canteens, Mega DSC recruitment, and extending Deepam 2 benefits to millions of AP women, have already been fulfilled by the coalition government.

With Thalliki Vandanam joining the list of the Super 6 guarantees and other schemes fulfilled by the NDA alliance government within one year of governance, the people of Andhra Pradesh feel a sense of reaffirmation in the government’s commitment to the people, marking a year of steady progress under CM Nara Chandrababu Naidu’s leadership.
