The Andhra Pradesh Police Department had advised YS Jagan not to proceed with the planned public meeting in Sattenapalli today due to serious security concerns. However, the YCP group went ahead, promoting the event as a “console tour” where Jagan was to meet the family of a deceased YCP supporter.
Unfortunately, the event turned into a political spectacle that tragically claimed the lives of two individuals.
Earlier in the day, a vehicle in Jagan’s convoy reportedly struck an elderly man named Lingayya, who sustained severe injuries. He was rushed to a hospital but was later pronounced dead by doctors.
In another shocking incident, a man at the Clock Tower Junction in Sattenapalli collapsed due to the heavy crowd and suffocation. Despite efforts to save him, he too was declared dead at the hospital.
This tour by Jagan ultimately resulted in the loss of two innocent lives. Andhra Pradesh Home Minister Taneti Vanitha expressed outrage at the situation, slamming Jagan for ignoring public safety. She criticized him for going ahead with the event despite a clear police advisory against it.
