Another Police Case on YS Jagan: What’s Next?

The former Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh, YS Jaganmohan Reddy, is finding himself entangled in a series of legal troubles. Most recently, the Guntur police filed a case against him after the car he was traveling in struck and killed an elderly man during his recent trip to Sattenapalli.

And now, yet another police case has been registered against Jagan, coincidentally again in Guntur.

This new case pertains to the violation of the election code. Jagan reportedly took part in a public event at the Guntur Mirchi Yard on February 19, despite being warned not to, as the local body election code was in effect at the time.

Despite receiving prior notification, Jagan proceeded with the Mirchi Yard program in what is now being described as a clear violation of the election code. Many had complained that a case should have been filed against him back then itself. Though delayed, action has finally been taken as a case has now been registered.

Along with Jagan, several other YCP leaders including Ambati Rambabu, Appi Reddy, Madugula Venugopal Reddy, and others have been served 41-A notices.

In recent days, multiple police cases have been filed against former CM Jagan, raising speculation about whether he may soon face further legal consequences for his alleged actions. Meanwhile, the investigation into the liquor scam case is also moving ahead swiftly.
