Former Chief Minister YS Jagan is one of the main accused in the car accident that caused the death of Singayya, who was crushed under Jagan’s car in Sattenapalli. The police registered a case and named Jagan as A2 in the report.
Soon after the incident, there was strong public outrage over how Singayya, an ordinary man, was treated. He was allegedly pushed aside after the accident and later died due to his injuries.
In a surprising turn, the YSR Congress arranged for the victim’s family to meet Jagan. Reports suggest that the family may have been encouraged to criticize the state government in order to protect Jagan. However, the fact that the victim’s family met with Jagan himself is now being questioned.
Many people on social media are asking how Jagan, as an accused person, could legally be allowed to meet the family of the victim while the investigation is still in progress. They argue that this goes against legal norms.
One social media user wrote, “How can the family meet Jagan when he is named A2 in the case? Is this not against the law? What if he influenced them and affected the investigation?”
It remains to be seen whether this meeting will lead to any legal consequences. But the issue has sparked a serious debate about whether it was appropriate for such a meeting to happen while a criminal investigation is ongoing.
