Dad Serious Over Mithun Reddy’s Arrest

After YSRCP MP Mithun Reddy was arrested in connection with the liquor scam case, his father and party senior leader Peddireddy Ramachandra Reddy strongly reacted, accusing CM Chandrababu Naidu of political revenge. He alleged that his son was being targeted only because of political rivalry and that false cases were being filed to send him to jail.

Peddireddy claimed that since the Babu government came to power, YSRCP leaders, especially his family, were being harassed. He said Mithun had won three consecutive times as an MP without any black mark on his record, yet he was being dragged into unnecessary legal troubles. He recalled how earlier cases, like the one involving the airport manager and the forest land issue, were also used against them but did not stand in court.

He described the liquor scam charges as baseless and claimed they were being used just to trouble Mithun because of his close ties with YS Jagan. He expressed confidence that the case would not hold in court and stated that his family had always stood firm despite several legal attacks. “Chandrababu may have his time now, but our time will come too,” he warned.
