The Andhra Pradesh government has cleared ₹20,216 crore worth of new investment proposals, bringing four more companies to Visakhapatnam. These projects are expected to create over 50,000 jobs and boost the city’s development.
This decision was made during the 9th State Investment Promotion Board (SIPB) meeting, chaired by Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu. The companies approved are Sify, Sattva, BVM, and ANSR.
Sify will invest ₹16,466 crore in Vizag to build a large data center, creating 600 jobs. Sattva will set up a major tech facility in Madhurawada with an investment of ₹1,500 crore, generating 25,000 jobs. BVM is investing ₹1,250 crore in Endada and plans to create 15,000 jobs. ANSR will also invest ₹1,000 crore in Madhurawada, aiming to generate 10,000 jobs.
Since the new government took charge, the total approved investments have reached ₹5.94 lakh crore, with plans to create over 5.5 lakh jobs across the state. IT Minister Nara Lokesh said the government aims to generate 20 lakh jobs in the next five years, with Vizag playing a key role in that vision.
