Pawan Reacts to ‘Vote Chori’ Allegations from Opposition

It is already known that the opposition parties across India have been carrying the narrative against EVMs after the 2024 electoral debacle. Pulivendula MLA YS Jagan is no different to this case as he has been blaming the EVM for his defeat.

Incidentally, deputy chief minister Pawan Kalyan, addressed this issue about YS Jagan, while speaking at the Independence Day parade in Kakinada today.

“We have been observing this trend across the country. Whenever a party loses the election, they instantly blame the election commission and the EVMs. When they win the election, it is all fun and games, but whenever they lose, they immediately push the blame on the EC.” Kalyan said as he effectively addressed Jagan’s narrative.

Kalyan, then added that he did not blame the EVMs or cry about Vote Chori when they lost the 2019 election. “When they won the 2019 election by a comprehensive margin, we accepted the public mandate. But when we won the 2024 election, they started blaming external factors. This is not the right practice in democracy.” Kalyan said.

Kalyan appeared to fire at two birds with the same shot as he aimed the barrel at Jagan and Rahul Gandhi, who had been carrying this anti EVM narrative for a while now.
